Mark Zuckerberg announced a name change for the Facebook company. As of December 1, the company will be formally traded on the stock market as Metaverse, to represent their growing interest in virtual and augmented reality.

Zuckerberg advised this is a business decision to allow them to grow into the more realms of the virtual world.

At this time, it appears the social media applications within the company – Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp – will all retain their individual names. As such, it appears all Facebook groups and sponsorships you have in place may remain in place without any disruptions.
